How to prevent your UDM been stolen at home ?

Even Nissan Sunny being target now and it the old kotak one but old car stolen mostly for parts.

Gated and guarded community only safe at certain degree. The rest is how car owner jaga it.

One of way is to make extra hidden switch that turn on/off fuel injection. Aside all the people suggest, the last thief resort is to tow the car.

It seems BMW has acknowledged the problem and is working on a solution.

If they have your car marked, they'll get it... And they will most probably hijack it from your hands rather than steal it...

Ya.. whatever u unpluged, they will make sure u plug everything back for them to leave. They even warn u if u alert the CMS center to deactivate the car, they will return with a parang.

Guys, my advise is to install anti jack system called black jack it's a product from Clifford. It does not interfere with the alarm system, it requires you to key in a pin code , a tiny 2 button keypad is supplied. What it does is that every time the Gear is moved from park to drive and every time the door is opened, the system will emit a reminder to key in the password, failing which, it will emit another time, this time the driver has another few seconds before the engine is cut off. This is a security feature for he owner where the system allows the car to be driven off to a safe distance, far enough from any danger that the robber might caused, AND the owner can safely retrieve the car after.

Technically, if any security system is installed by others and NOT you yourselves, chances are they can be circumvented. The syndicate can get the system installed in one of their cars, go back and reasearch how to circumvent it. Or pay for insider info from the installers...

Yes, that's what they do. It's even easier than what you think, the installer makes handsome side income [shop owner also dunno] by providing both your address and key code to the syndicates.

No offence but from my experience clifford or any alarm system for that matter if they want to steal your car they would already know what needs to be done. i have know so many cases whereby the car was installed with the full clifford system and it is gone. All it takes is someone who knows how to installed these alarm systems and they would know where to by pass it. Thats because to install them you have to follow certain standard wiring points.

..few charges of pepper spray(colorless), installed inside car..triggered by unauthorized access to ignition, steering, pressure over driver/custom seat..upon unauthorized entry and taken steps mentioned, small aluminum bottle of pepper spray is perforated (4 bars) and 'exploded' inside car compartment..moron is disabled for next 1 hour, with tears and coughing..multiple charges could be installed and controlled by small MCU, what will be preset to count robbery trials, so, if there is another attempt(if few of morons doing the job), system will charge itself in 30 seconds after first explosion (or any custom time), and keep kicking morons butt..under normal circumstances, not more than 4 morons will be necessary to kick out (means 4 charges to be installed)...if more than 4 of them appear, then they deserve to take car, because of pain, coughing, tears and suffering other 4 comrades got , but i hardly believe they will try a thing after eventual first 2 butt kicks..

best method from my experience where my old e60 was stolen, thief will either

A) Hijack , if come in group , just hand them the key and tell them where the smart tag tell them drive far far and u want to claim insurance ,so make sure it did not apear if they bored with the car, drive it to the sea.
B) Steal from house, keep all your key in your bedroom , double lock and dead bolt the door make sure the door is not cheap oem door. get good door as they will likely charge your room with your cooking gas canister. this will buy time for you to buy time to alert neighbour and police , remember strength in number. if you do not know your neighbor now is a good time to get to know them. they may need your help too 1 day.

be vigilant at all time. remember all car are insured , esp new car 1st / 2nd year from bmw dealer are 1 to 1 payment ( 100% ) , so no issue. your life no money can buy.
pissing the robber / thief off will not get you better unless you are trained in self defense . even then no one will take on a group unless have no choice.

yes roof is from single story house put alarm ( laser scanner ) on the roof lor , if roof is high they jump also break their leg. most of time is thru window / maindoor.

i seen they work, using industrial acid to melt the lock within second.

..pepper spray contamination, all the way..it takes hour+ to be clean atmosphere from such blast..they simply dont have enough time to wait such thing, especially if you have few charges ready to go..
