hi frens, need some help here, last time my e39 has vibration problem n when its vibrate feels underpower during take off. so one of our sifu here said maybe bcoz of my ccv, so ive open my ccv n found that one of my hose is broken. so here i would like to know how to check whether my ccv is still can use or not? issit better for me to change the hose only or together with ccv. ive been quoted from inner power the ccv price is rm200, 3 hoses (theres 5 hoses but i only oder 3) Rm 285 ( 2 ori n 1 not ori) issit a good price or not..thanks guys in advance for helping me out...

I think last time i check the ccv and all the hoses (complete) are around RM650 from Bavarian Auto.

i recently replaced my ccv. 1 valve and 4 hoses. BA quoted me rm550 for all. but i ended up buying them from ebay for around rm350.

i dont think they are still original set for the ccv, what available is only the OEM. i looked at the plastic it labels "hamburg technique" if i am not mistaken. cannot remember because the price is for complete set of a valve and 4 hoses. BA earlier quoted me rm195 just for the valve.

so here i would like to know how to check whether my ccv is still can use or not?..thanks guys in advance for helping me out...

failed ccv symptoms:
1. sudden hi oil consumption
2. engine bad/rough idle
3. smoke at ejos at start up

check also yr drain tube from ccv to oil pan for blockage.this will cause smoke at start ups.

Mine is single vanos, idle was rough, white smoke coming out of exhaust, diagnosed but no error..so confirmed it was the culprit. I was told the diaphragm was broken or sth like that. Cost was less than 400 for the items.

the diaphragm is the orange kaler rubber thingy i'm holding.....
this is for the m52.m54 ccv different shape and more hoses(4 i think)

just replace them if they never been changed before. if not then it's going to be a time bomb. waiting time until it gives problem again.

i thought the ccv is built not to be opened and there u opened it.
the diaphragm inside the ccv, can it be fixed or we just need to change the whole ccv?

bro huskar....that ccv is the rosak one.so out of curiosity i opened it up to see the design and how it works.the diaphragm is the one that normally tears with age and that cannot be replaced on its own.
when the diaphragm tears, air leak will be introduced, hence the bad idle....

thanks bro for the explanation. it is confirmed that the ccv cannot be opened to fix the internal parts.
