How to improve ageing e39

Hi guys,I was just wondering (with a bit of extra cash in the pocket, mind wonders a lot lately ). My 523i e39 is almost 10years old now and anybody think it's worthwhile doing any work to improve overall ageing effects? For example, would it be a good idea to change the engine mountings to reduce vibration and noise intrusions ? Would it be worth the investment? I do plan to change some bushings etc so think if anything else can be done to "feel the difference" on an old car? Any experiences would be appreciated. cheers.

A new coat of paint and re upholstering your leather will go miles to spruce up a 10 year old.
Change all the suspension bushes too.
and change your absorbers while your'e at it

The bushing I will do this week, the upholstery is much better condition than any newer models I've seen. Therest, paint, new shock and springs all done. Thanks for the suggestion. Cheers
