Hi to all Old Timer for BMW,
Home minister not keen to get new Bimmer..thus looking for used Bimmer..any good advice on how to make sure the used Bimmer are in good shape?

Thanks in advance..

From Penang...

1st Choice is to look for the Premium Selection Vehicles. There are some of them which are still quite fairly new (<100km mileage) as well as some good gems with a bit higher mileage (>10,000km). Usually those with the higher mileage tend to get the best discounts about (sometimes even up to RM50k off a brand new car price).

With those from the Premium Selection range, you still get the BSRI as well as warranty (depending on how old the model is).

Thanks for the direction bro Mavik...I found that most of the premium selection car price is at above 200k that almost same as new car..My option over here is sedan type and below 2.0cc...
I did a search on Mudah and found a lot of choices that suit me but the problem that I have is no experience on buying conti car before..

You checked right on the BMW website for the Premium selection? If possible, just give the Auto Bavaria Premium Selection branch in Glenmarie a call. They have a huge stock of Premium Selection cars and start talking to them. Also check out with the dealers nearest to you via a call or just pop in for a chat because not all of the cars that they have may end up at the Premium Selection website. I bought my car which is a Premium Selection vehicle but it wasn't listed on the website.

If you do search for recon cars via the dealers, make sure you try to get those that offer a 1 year warranty either via Opal or other methods. Before confirming, negotiate with the salesman, if you found a unit which you are interested in, pay them a deposit first but with a clause that they bring the car to a mechanic of your choice for a full inspection or you can also opt for the BMW 100 point inspection check at the dealerships. I had friends who did this but it wasn't for their BMW but for their Audi's instead. They sent their cars to Exquisite Marques which is located in Sunway Damansara there for a full check up.

Yes, I checked it through BMW website...I will check with the nearest dealer directly..thank you for this direction..

Bro Mavik is right. I bought one from ingress this feb with huge discount for less than 1000km 2013 demo unit. You get peace of mind with the warranty and bsri.
