How much is a "Top Overhaul Set"

cklim.. why overhaul? upgrade... why cost of building/overhauling the engine would be the same of upgrading the engine..

check with a few forumers.. a M20 engine would be better !!

2. M20 engine you r referring to is Motronic kah :nyehehe: ?

3. In term of maintenance cost, would it be higher for Motronic compared to L-Jet?

4. If change to Motronic, is the alternator interchangable, coz i had juz recond my?

5. My manual tranny & recently bought new air slide valve & timing set, can they fit Motronic?

around 2k.. well on the worst side.. skim the head, worn valve guides, new valves? other stuff, oil,cigaretes, tani..

1) Top overhaul gasket kit - RM260
- Valve cover gasket
- Cylinder head gasket (if sold seperately RM150/pc)
- Camshaft seal & o-ring
- Thermostat O-ring
- Thermostat housing gasket
- Intake & Exhaust manifold gasket
- Exhaust manifol to downpipe gasket (triangle shape X 2)
- Breather pipe o-ring X 2 (top & bottom)

2) Engine core plug X 12 (Normal steel - RM54, Stainless steel - RM126)
3) Water pump - RM110
4) Tensioner bearing - RM55
5) Timing belt ( brand : Continental ) - RM55
6) Engine Oil filter - RM15
7) Propeller shaft center bearing - RM95
8) M20B20 exhaust manifold to downpipe gasket - RM16
9) Roof chrome lining clip - RM26/pc
10) Ate Front Brake pad - RM120/ set

the manual tranny from a Ljet can be use on a motronic engine la.
the only thing that cant be use is the Air Slide Valve.

And yes...the alternator from an early model Ljet syst. in Malaysia is running on 55amperes. He shud change to a higher output amperes.
