i've only tried my 330i up to 220 km/h. the steering is too twitchy at high speed and you need to concentrate so hard to keep the car on the road.. also, with the firm suspension, on bumpy roads, the car feels a bit too bouncy.. so, haven't dared to go more than that modest speed..

Done 220 kmh on an E46 325i. The E90 325i is lighter with 218 bhp which is higher than the E46 325i's 192 bhp. That extra 26 bhp should enable the E90 325i to reach stop speeds faster, I think...

my car has seen 230kmh but on a slight slope.. happened when I was chasing a Fiat coupe Turbo between KLIA and Nilai interchange.... on flat, 210kmh@6000rpm

1. E36 325i Auto 4 speed.
2. original 2500 upgrade to 3.1 (hiop by Speed Work)
3. BHP 280 - 310 (told by speed work after conversion)
4. Running at 7500 rpm (rev cut limit) at fouth gear speed should be around 260KM/H++.
5.3.1 Hiop Kit.

This story happen almost ten year back when i was 20++, was a convoy from KL to Pasir Gudang (we all Three Crown EKS supporter), we was crusing around 200KM/H ++ until S600L over take me then i start to accler, unfortunely only able tail can't even close to overtake.....

Above 250KM/H with car is only happen once and never happen again .....
And i do promise my self nvr do that again ......

Sad no longer 20++ ......

:rofl: oh sorry my car highest I tekan 160 and thats it I know can go as a friend three28 cousin did 220 on 318i as you go that fast I always think of what happen if something give way sorry for us. normal speed 130 to 150 on h/way unless got topedo shooting careful lah. :getyourfactsright:

M20B20 auto 1983 4.10 open diff....my humble experience:

Previously - seen 180kmh with engine at redline (6k+ rpm)....

After some changes - seeing 180kmh with engine turning at 4,500rpm.....

Engine picks up speed very slowly after that so dunno whether can reach 200.... theoretically it should, but maybe it'll take A WEEK to reach that speed

My car: e46 325iSMG 2002.
Fastest was on the way to launcing of e60 at Cyberlodge between Alor Gajah to Seremban at 230 km/h twice. Still stable at that speed most likely the benefit of 18" tyre with sport suspension. Nowadays max speed is about 200 km/h if the road is empty.

230 KM/H tested from vpoint to Ipoh . No mods ... but quite scary thou
Using 16" wheels .... need to upgrade to better suspensions n some upgrades need to be done

1997 328i, only mod is debafled the air filter box. Fastest 235 to 240 on the speedo.

The story goes like this.

Place: Kesas between Hicom and Kota Kemuning.
Time: 3:00am
Opponent: C230 Kompressor (somehow they make it more fun)

Upon exiting the Hicom interchange, I immediately assumed the right most lane at my normal cruising speed. Immediately saw peanut headlamps with xenon projectors approaching ver, very fast. I proceeded to step on it in an attempt to keep ahead of the C, but it was already doing in excess of 200 coz at 180 it was tionging me, so I pulled to the middle lane to let it pass. But I was still stepping on it and the 3 was accelerating hard.

The C overtook meby about half a car length. Then the magic of the six cylinder showed it self, I started walking the C, not fast, but convincingly enough. I look down and the speedo is passing 230kmh. I continued for another 5 seconds where I was 2 carlengths ahead. I reached the Kota Kemuning exit, waved the C but dun think he saw it. Funny what you can do in a 3-4km stretch of road.

My heart was racing at this stage. Exhilarating.

CC: 1.8 litre
HP: I think it is 115hp
max speed dared: 180km/h (although I was told it could see slightly beyong the 200km/h region) Due to my worn-out suspension, I dared not push beyong 180km/h as the car was bouncing around already.

Wah lau..... looks like you people here are speed demons. Above 200km/h is like normal Cruising speed to you :blink: :unsure: :blink:

Before: 1990 e30 318i M40B18 (M) topped at 220kmh

now: M20B20 (A) have gone 180kmh but had to lift throttle due to approaching traffic... have not tried again.

*recently on the way back from pd got to have a go again... 195kmh top. Hmm... got to find some more juice!

Max speed : should be 200kmh but had only tried up to 170kmh on NS highway.
