Hey guys i just get my car back after fix it. Now there are no overheat problem anymore but i think need to replace my fan clutch because the temperature sensor show at the middle of the line. Not at the cold line. But now the real problem is miss fire. So what the solution for this kind of problem, i heard i need to replace the spark plug or spark plug coil. Is it true? Or need to check other place as well? Now I use the car more than 1 week already is it ok to use? Or any advice for me? Hope someone can help me with this.

Start with checking the plugs first, then the coil.

Had a misfiring on my M50 too, turned out it was coil #2.

I cant remember whats the price for a new coil for M50, if ur workshop has a working used one I think that would work just fine.

Just for reference, new M52 coil cost 180 each if my memory is correct.

Oh icic... Then I ask my mech bout that then... Thanks anyway...

can you pls define the misfire symptom ...etc while driving at 40 KM/h you get some sort of jerk etc etc ...

as misfiring can come from a few others related area's ....

Well, even not drive the car,I just start the engine and press fuel paddle the misfire will be heard. More heard when turn on the air conditioner while driving.

Ask yr mech to check the air intake valve. Air not flowing properly can also create misfires. The problem with the valve maybe because of it being dirty or the springs in there spoilt or tearing of the rubber diaphragme

This happened to my Passat last month.... maybe it mite b d reason fr yr misfire too

my e34 had a bad idling, eng died without the air cond on. A friend of mine just did a diy on cleaning the idling regulating valve, throttle body and the air flow sensor. the result was awesome.
