Holla guys, quite new here. Just acquired a e28 (2.0) year 1984 with stock condition but was not running for almost 3 years. Brought to workshop to do up a lil bit so that i can hear the engine roaring sound, eventually certain things turn me down coz the fellow is not starting. Basically did some entire oil change, engine, gear box and also replaced new petrol filter. After that realise the fuel pump is not working and changed that too. Yet the fellow is not starting, when i check w some other workshop buddies, they said the ECT sensor is a common problem this model, but the workshop guy is claiming the whole 6 injector is gone which according to ma buddies its a lil bit on deniable side.
So the point is, can i know where can i buy the 6 injectors and also the ECT sensor and how much does it cost.
Fyi: im from banting, and need some extra advice if there could be anything wrong rather than wasting ma money on the injector and ECT. And i did not check the thing thru computer coz this workshop fellow doesn have one, and its gonna be hectic for me to tow to another workshop again n again.
Plz do help me to prevent this fellow from going scrap... :(

Cowboy,

As with all classic projects, patience and a big piggy bank is needed. If you do not want to replace part by part to identify the problem, perhaps looking for a new engine is an alternative.

Would be good to post some photos of the car's current condition if you can. Then document the restoration process here in the forum under one thread for others to view and perhaps, gain some courage to take on a restoration project of their own.

All the best to you!

YF,

Thanks for the advice. Will upload the car condition as i get back to the workshop. Yup, a really big piggy bank is for sure. :)
