Hi Irdanlz84
I believe there are 2 possibilities.
1) the long shaft rubber coupling is damaged. Symptom: When you accelerate there will be some noise coming from behind the gear box and it will dissapear when you have reach your desired speed and reduce your press on the gas pedal which will reducing the spin rate or the pressure on the long shaft.
2) your axle sudah kacau. when was the last time you change the axle oil? The antidote if hopefully you just need to put a new axle oil you you need to rebuild your axle or change to a 2nd hand axle.
My friend has an E36 that had the same problem actually worse as the bearing and the axle were noisy too and last 2 weeks, we changed his rubber coupling which was really really bad. We can see its internal threads as the rubber was cracking and breaking. We also changed all 4 wheel bearings. The noise level significantly dropped but 1 thing persist, the axle bearing sound.
Last night, we removed the axle, drain the oil and dissassemble it, to change all 4 bearings, 3 oils seals, 2 oil rings, 1 gasket and 1 differential speed sensor or switch. We will assemble all the axle back again tonight, fill in new oil and hopefully we will put an end to the noise issue. BTW, my friend never changed his axle oil for a long time. When we drained the oil, the color was really black and smell like it burned. The bearing had some scratch mark too, sudah makan.
hope the sharing helps. Hopefully it will help in your problem finding and decision making process. Anyway, ask other taikos too. I just share what I have just learned.
