I were driving on PLUS hway this afternoon on my way balik kampung to Pontian. Then came a group of Carrera S from Singapore... thought I joined the group, changed into Sport Mode, pressed the pedal and before long I realized I was doing 200km/h. Then all the sudden, I heard the gong and got the message on the dashboard, "Engine Faults! Reduced Power!".I immediately slowed down to 110km/h and stopped at the next RnR. Didn't know what to do, I just switched off the engine and started it again after a minute or so. The message disappeared so I continued my journey but it came back again as soon as I went into Sport mode. I stopped at the next lay-by and did the same thing... switching off and on the engine. The fault was cleared so thinking there's something wrong my my car Sport mode, I just drive using Normal mode until I exited the hway. Then, while trying to overtake a container lorry, the alert came on again so by now I realized it had something to do with hard accelerations. The question is... Anybody knows what caused this and what I should do?Btw my ride is a 2009 F07.Thanks in advance guys.P/s, I hope I can still drives back home to Kajang as I don't think there's a BMW mechanic here in Pontian. :-(

Anybody?

Nobody experienced this before?

If not, any suggestion which place has the best diagnostic tool to diagnose F-series car?

Thanks in advance.

Most of the independent BMW specialist workshops may not have the diagnostic equipment (very expensive) for F-series car. Suggest you send your car to Wearnes Autohaus for complete diagnostic test. Special price for OM, just show them your official member card.

Thanks Herbert.

One problem though.... I still haven't got my official member card yet. Still waiting for Bro affan. :-(

Not a problem though. At Wearnes Autohaus, inform the Service Manager that you are the OM of BMWCM.
