To all sixers, Drove by Pandan Indah and noticed this Ultra R sign so checked out the place. They do strut bars for Beemers (and Jap cars). They have Front Struts for E30 and E34 but not E24. Asked if they can tailor one - can be done and will cost around RM250 if they receive at least three confirmed orders. Two point front strut bar in white. Just checking to see if anyone is interested..if not I will go ahead and get mine done... Pls pm me for more details

i am keen, just make sure i think the width( centre to centre of shock mounting ) of a e12 and e28 based e24 is different. any sifu comments?

They gotto measure it before fabricating and will use my 628 for it.
Hope it the size measurements for 635s as well.

vern, PM scin. If I'm not mistaken, he has a strut bar for the E24. Maybe can duplicate according to those specs.

The E12 and E28 mount IS different. If I am not mistaken, the orientation of the bolts differs.... I do have a sample of an E12 unit.

San - is yours an E12 or E28 based Sixer. Mine is made late 83 so shd be E28 based.

Fabian - any idea wats the price for alum bars - just a ball park figure. If not much difference might as well go for alum.

Looks like I will have to alone on this since the only response is from San but its E12 based so mounting differs. Will also check out another maker Zender to compare as they do alum bars as well.
