Dealer just confirmed that he carried the older D95 platform units as well. Priced at RM2400 for E46. Will check with him on the availability for E39 units for both D95 and D99.

just want to let all the person who interested on the set to know more about the feture. We have checked out that the OBC is just for reading only you can't do any reset to the average fuel comsumption. and not all vehicle and view all the feture from the OBC such as the volt meter is missing on bro 525i's ride.

just want to let all the person who interested on the set to know more about the feture. We have checked out that the OBC is just for reading only you can't do any reset to the average fuel comsumption. and not all vehicle and view all the feture from the OBC such as the volt meter is missing on bro 525i's ride.

A simple way to overcome this is to relocate your MID to the glove box. Just cut off the connector and splice 5 wires (abt 2 feet) to the glove box. For those with the original Nav unit, you'd have to get a used MID and do the same.

I've a few questions, does your steering controls and CD Changer still work together with the Dynavin? When you reverse, it shows visual indication of distance instead of beeping? I'm just curious if all my standard E39 functions are still available.

Steering controls works. CD changer however can't be connected anymore but there are plenty of sources for input. RCA, USB, Apple Ipod, SD Card, CD/MP3/DVD player, TV in. You won't miss your CD changer. That's for sure.

As for the PDC, it shows both visual indication and the original beeping is still maintained. You can also add in a reverse camera for live view.

On a side note, just got a call from dealer saying that all E46 D99 units been sold out and new batch of stock is only coming in June.

UPDATE 14/5: Supplier have units for E39 as well. Price is the same with units for E46. Limited units though. Was told there are only 2. E46 units expected to arrive in June.

But photos shown are the older D95 platform where else the dealer I'm arranging with carries the latest D99 platform.

@ghostrider: Should be around July/August. Do let me know in advance as dealer might not have ready stock due to high demand.
