The good thing about this tracking device is that there are no subscription fees, and you only need to plug in your own SIM card and it will receive SMS commands and send SMS reports. If you get a SIM card on one of the family plans, then the cost will be minimal, especially if you usually exceed your monthly commitment anyway. I've obtained a unit to test it out, and the useful feature is that it uses landmarks stored on the device to make sense of coordinates. You can also add your own landmarks by sending it coordinates and a name for your landmark. They also have free mobile phone software (M1 Move) that will install on Symbian phones, and also a version that can run on phones with Java. They have integrated this software to be able to show the location on Google Maps (need to load the maps from the internet via WiFi or 3G mobile broadband), or Garmin Mobile if you have bought the software for your phone.It has loads of other more useful features, and there are a lot of advanced commands for the unit.
