For the test, the D5 were install on the Honda Civic and the AS2 were installed on the BMW, Audi, and Porsche.

I suppose .........
.........When compare the ride between the E60/525i and E90/320i, the E60 was going faster but then again
the driver were different for both cars.

Yeah those slope turn...till today I am still having that nausetic feeling, darn!!! ... Overall, the A2 feels better than the D5 on high speed as it has better grip. I had the "pleasure" of getting the same robust test driver on two different car models.
He never did let up on both occasion and u can feel even with more power in the BMW, the grip is much more significant with the A2 compare to the D5 .......

The slope, yeah the slope ..... Just a bit too much G for me to take ...:vollkommenauf:

I was super tired when we got back home that day and was tied up yesterday with some tani session.. :5:

Here's my complete FR.. LOL! :1:

First of all, a big thank you to the existence of BMW club because this event only open for online community's participation, be it forum or FB page. Of course, a result of much persuasion and influence from QuickSave Auto Boutique, Subang USJ as a Goodyear dealer with the tyre maker to make this possible.

40 pax was offered to QuickSave few days before the event to bring in 10 groups of car owners from the online community representing the different car brands. The official press conference launch for both the Asymmetric 2 and Directional 5 was the night before at a local F&B location with no actual track test for the products. The week before, the local dealers were flown to Hua Hin for the actual track experience. Since only 4 spots allocated to us, I was thinking best just let the committee go and enjoy themselves as a reward for their hardwork running the office for the club. 4 names were given to me and after seeing how much fun the dealers had in Hua Hin, I managed to get QuickSave to get us 2 more spots, which 1 grab immediately and got DigitalPunk to come along.

These are my experience, photos and videos taken in the event, enjoy!

1. Breakfast
We met up at a mamak in USJ opposite Summit, behind the Shell station at 7:15am. I'm glad all are prompt, QuickSave boss Leon was there too and he foot the bill for the breakfast of various rotis and teh tarik. :top:

After the short breakfast, we left at 7:30am, heading to Proton factory along the Kesas highway.

2. Check in
Feeder buses to go to the test track..

Cameras, phones, iPads and smoking are allowed.. :1:

Goodies.. Polo shirt, dog tag and a credit card type USB 2GB storage drive.

3. The Track

First thing DigitalPunk saw were the Goodyear girls.. check out the saliva.. :1:

These 2 were more attracted by the roundels than the rear engine sports car.. :1:

There's a reason why our VP wore yellow.. :1:

My verdict for the tyre:
A2 is very grippy on both dry and wet, 10% cheaper then PS3, made in Germany! More suitable for hardcore performance use. I will seriously consider this in my next change!

D5 is very quiet, comfy, very good in braking, similar price as A2. Perfect for premium luxury car use.

AB, 10 is A2 wet test. D5 were only use for civic and AS2 is used for BMW.

The ring ride is no joke.. I almost black out when seated in front, even in the Civic at speed of RM149kph on Directional 5. I can feel my blood rushing down, away from my brain.. suffering inadequacy of blood and oxygen in my brain.. now I know the astronautic "Human Centrifuge" exercise is not easy.. I wonder how many G was that and this also applies if we go to a different planet that has stronger gravity.. I sure pengsan! :43:

You have been flying too much over the years hence you suffered from negative G. Just cut down on cold ones and puff less and flying to Jupiter or even Pluto should not be a problem.

The size chart you see is for 6-rib design. The 17" is on the 5-Rib design due to its smaller in size. Anyway the size shown on the presentation were not complete, check with the local dealers on your size.

The 320i driver is my HPC Instructor.......Weng Yan.

and HPC Instructors ( the original batch ) were trained 2 days at this facility many years back. Tengku Azizan ( Head of H&T dept ) drove us in a stock Waja around the high speed test track hands free......yup, at the correct speed its stays UP there on the highest lane by itself! And in a Proton.....

Our VP and his Ipad2 for the fastest time on the wet run.
Quite unfair as claimed by other car club cos the test car was an E90 BMW. (Home Advantage).
Time was 12.3 second. Herbert was also close at 12.8 second.

We share the same thoughts bro and do hope GY will revised the invite the next time.

Infact during one of the short breaks that's we had, it was voiced to their Marketing Director (a sweet lady herself) that except for the "time attack" session, the other station did not really put the new tyres to it's limits. Moreover, participant is limited (more end-user to be invited) and were not given hands-on feeling of the tyres testing.

In principal they agreed but will revert if new models are made in the future :top:

the new PSS and CSC5's are fully available in the full ranges of 18"s but 255/40/17 tarak!
