Gearbox recond? Is it a good decision?

Hi guys, im using e46 with zf 5hp19. Recently having problem on my tranny, jerking at 4th gear and it goes to the safe mode. I scanned with my bmw scanner 1.4.0. Found error on EGS, which is symptom glue,out.rev sensor na-b. anyone experience that? How to repair? Does i need to eecond whole gearbox or just repair it might be some sensors kaput.

Get an expert to diagnose the code for you. M-Scope Batu Caves will be able to do the job. Always go for overhaul instead of recond as you will not know the condition of recond, some parts may not been changed. Overhaul a ZF transmission can be as low as RM4k with 1 year warranty. Market price is about RM6k, quoted by M-Scope. Recomd gearboxes usually cost about RM4.5k

Not sure when did the previous owner overhauled but I have been running without any issue since gotten my ride a year plus ago.
