guys,

Looking for some help here. Cars with K-Jetronic injection systems have a pressure reservoir. It is a steel canister about the same size as the fuel pump and is located right next to the fuel pump in the right rear wheel-arch. My one started leaking, which makes it very dangerous as there is a constant high pressure spray of petrol coming out from it now!!!!. So I'm looking for help in sourcing a replacement locally - done the rounds of all the usual places, bosch, stuttgart, and all the handy little places up Jl Ipoh so am fairly sure that no shops are carrying this part. Does anyone know of an 'i' car (any of the cars with injection will have this same part) that is being broken or stripped?? Really appreciate any help with this.

By the way, my car is the bright red (E21) 323i running around PJ reg WAG 1999

I think that is called fuel pressure accumulator, it is like a one way valve. It maintains fuel pressure after you switch off the engine. Next time you start, there is instant fuel pressure
to the injection system, so, easy and instant starting.

I am not sure about similarity, but Mercedes up to W124, W126 and W210 models are also using K Jetronic system. Perhaps the parts are the same.
