Frozen Gray M3

At the Frankfurt Auto Show, BMW introduced a limited edition of the popular BMW M6 model. Along with some specific features for this limited model, BMW also introduced the Frozen Grey mate finish paint.A few weeks later, a BMW fans posted the first photos of an M3 featuring the same paint. The Frozen Grey paint is an Individual Color based on Space Grey Metallic. A special matte clear coat (FF95-0550) makes for the matte finish.Earlier this week, two members of m3post published photos of their M3 Coupe models at the BMW Welt. Nothing special so far, some of you might say, but when we add the Frozen Grey mate finish to them, they suddenly becomes somewhat special.

According to them, BMW Individual produced only 30 M3’s in Frozen Grey for the world market in October. Along with this Individual finish, both of them decided to add the “Edition” black wheels as well, giving the M3 one of the best looks ever seen.BMW fans pick up their Frozen Gray M3 at BMW Welt

Cute in showroom photos with downlights on them, but before you respray your car a matt finish, have a look at matt finish cars on the road. I've seen a few, including a matt black Merc 230 CLK near my house. IMO, they just look dull and unfinished in normal daylight, and even worse at night. :thumpdown:

U are right, not every one love the matt color, not mention yet that owner hard to maintain the color.

Sorry, my neighbour's car is a big CLS, not CLK. Totally spoilt a beautiful car IMO. Absolutely no highlights, even in bright sunshine.

IMHO it makes the car look like a second hand car, no offence to second hand car owners.This paint finish doesn't make the car look new to me. On the other hand, always liked the bonnet.

Saw an E46 Coupe today with quart tail pipe, think its an M3, in this color.. Looks like primer la... not nice..

Exactly. Looks like the owner couldn't pay for the whole job and is just getting the primer done first, top coat later Imagine a 230CLS looking like that! Makes me want to laugh everytime I see it.
