Hi, just want to know that is all E60 front wheel drive or Rear wheel drive ???Salesman said bmw maintainant is much more expensive due to RWD...is that true??Any advantage btw RWD and FWD ? Pro & Con pls...

yes, the rear differential, long shaft, drive shafts are all expensive items but how often they need to be replaced? so far, never heard of it.
mostly, only wear and tear parts like,the mountings, coupling and bearing, which are cheap.

FWD components actually tend to wear faster because all the weight and heat are concentrated in front with all the important parts. And are more difficult to change when they do wear because again, everything is crammed up front.

To echo most of the forumers here, at this moment.. all BMW are still RWD! Of course, they are in the midst of developing FWD but that will be in the near future...
