Mr Perryyip,

Tell u what, check out a 328i at chang sang motor in cheras. the car is in superb condition with M sport bodykit and has been facelifted by the previous owner. Excellent car inside out i've to say. They're selling it for RM 83K and im sure u can squeeze some RM out of em'. Plus they provide 6 months warranty bro. Check it out if u have the time.

Bro, i already give up 328 cause the roadtax is equivalant to 325 x 2. Most important, Jarance and Daichi said 325 is almost same power. I've found out 325(192hp), 328(193hp), only torgue are different. So i will go for 325ci or 4 door msport/SMG.
Supposingly, my 1st choice is the 325ci msport from owner called Tan, but he wanted to sell higher price. So i decide to go for others coupe with sunroof. There is an 325ci selling 95k at selayang auto city, but without sunroof. I will serach more in this week, if cant find my favourite coupe, i will go for 325 msport or SMG. Only thing is need inspect properly on SMG version due to gearbox.

If I am not wrong, torque would make a difference to your acceleration especially when you are trying to overtake on Malaysian roads. Displacement is king! Have you test driven the a 325i? You would then be able to tell the difference yourself.

If it weren't for the road tax, I would be leaning more towards the 330ci as well.

If always going on highway then higher cc is good, otherwise useless having such big cc driving on the city area whereby always traffic jam and need pay for higher petrol and roadtax. Of course i tested Jarance 325 msport. 325 is good enuf for me in terms of power. The cc is considered mid, 1.9 to 3.3cc. Overrall satisfied. Thats the reason why i prefer 325.

Good choice guys. i've got no complains with 325i so far. u guys should go for it then all 325i owners should go yamcha together. ;)

it should be a minimum of 325i...the 323i is way underpowered and so is the 320i 2.2...ideal for a ci would be 330ci

325 will always be preferred choice due to roadtax. U need the torque even at low speed. higher cc not necessarily high petrol as u need less effort to move. U dun want to be smoke by kancil, wira, perdana turbo at traffic lite rite? I'm 318 background last time so I know the diff. When searching for E46 lot of people suggest 325. I've tested a lot of car from 318 to 330. U need to test drive all cars & then compare which one you preferred at your budget. I've tested a lot of E46 mainly 325 but failed to amaze me compare to E36 feel. 325 stereng feel light except for the SMG version. But I worried on the SMG gearbox. Then few fren advice to test 328. wow.. totally diff stereng feel not to mention the torque. Obviously dun ask me bout 330. Since I already got 528 that time cant really afford 330 roadtax so settle for 328 even Jeremy Clarkson testified it. Actually if u guys spent some time browsing the forum u can find a lot of info on these issue discussed many times. No need to ask everytime u have any doubt or problem. My advice go for the highest cc you can afford along the budget of the car.
Power doesn't comes cheap & BMW is not cheap to maintain. At the end of the day its still up to you coz u gonna pay for it. For 2.8 rdtax is not too high everytime you need the power. The most I'll go is 3.0 as more than that is quite high. hope this helps.

The one in Selayang you are talking should be this one advertised on mudah.com.my?:

Have you had the 325ci m-sport from Tan inspected by a BMW workshop? I am alright if you take the car. It is a good deal at RM108K. Please note he told me that the light control module had been changed and it is not original BMW (half-cut I think) but everything else looks good to me (some dents on the rims).

This definitely is not an MSPORT model. MSPORT model should come with bucket seats, bodykit and sport suspension which are not present with the car. Did you confirm the year of manufacture matches the VIN number?

initialM, i do agree with ur oppinion. I've driven E36 328 for 4.5 years, very satisfied of power. 325 is definitely my choice. I only drive it on weekend, but i need 2.5cc when im on highway. Especially during my holiday trip, i dont wan be smoke by normal cars. I've been searching 325ci and 325 4dr for months. It is hard to find a nice 325ci on the market (dealer/direct owner). That is why my 2nd choice would be 325 smg. I heard that people complaining bout the gearbox, but when i ask directly to owner (so far 3 person), they said it is not so bad as what other people said. Problems can be solve nowadays, even cluth can last for 60-80k km. So far, in this forum, i never heard of any SMG owner bout their experienced on gearbox issue. Hope those sifu can give me advise b4 i choose to buy.

Yeah problem can be solved of course with money. Thats why I spent 40k on my 1 year plus E46 ownership hehehe. Sometime we worry too much until it effect our decision. We only live once so go for your dream. Yeah its not easy to find good used car but then it depend on yr expectation.

328 & 330 guys cannot yamcha together arr?:burnout:

Certain dreams are way too difficult to obtain. So it is better to go for things we can afford or our favourites :D where all the 325ci owners ? ahhahahah come on, sell me ur car and good price :D

Yes, but wasted no sunroof. Now i might go for 318ci, 1900cc full m3 kits n accessories.

But why wasted? Is having a sunroof really that important? imho if the car is in great condition then go for it bro ... Honestly you're not loosing out much for not having a sunroof. I rarely use the sunroof maybe once or twice in a year :dontknow:

I think for those of us who have never driven a car with a sunroof, the IDEA of a sun-roof sounds appealing. I admit I am one of those ppl but when I test drove a car with a sunroof and pulled back the shade, it was blazing hot!

However, it would be pretty cool to drive up Genting or Cameron...to each his own.
