Ford Focus 2.0L Sport

Anyone tested or tried new Ford Focus 2.0L sport...seem to be viable to the BMW 318i or 320i considering their lower price tag. (RM121,400 OTR w/o insurance ), 1.8L Ghia sedan even more cheaper. I am serious considering on this car...cheers.

Bro, I suggest you take a test drive first.

The specs and price appears tasty to me. But 5 mins with the car and I am turned off completely. The gearbox is the biggest disappointment and you don't feel the 150 (or thereabouts) of the bhp quoted at all!

Put in a the "manual" mode, the upshift takes like 2 secs. Put it in auto mode, the kickdown doesn't come in when you want it.

Another disappointment is the handling although that is what the ads claim is the Focus strongest points. I suspect they may have tune the dampers to a softer settings (like the SEA Civic vs JDB Civic) to cater for the "executive" market here. The body roll is more pronounced that anticipated.

Overall, big disappointment for me.
