So the one carrying the huge SLR camera was u, I thought u from the media.. car #3 is the dark brown X3 with rear fog light lighted, very nice fog light, small, bright but not annoying. Gilajazz overtook you all while u all line up to pay toll on the same lane la. We decided to take an open lane, so once check out from toll, behind lead car liao.. in fact we almost over took the lead car, I stop him ma.. that's when u took the above car #7 photo.. :10:

There were 8 speed to play with, while I was the front passenger, I played with the gear lever.. yes! I was the passenger! my driver were confused over the DS M mode because he is used to pedal shift on his E90 LCI 325. The gear indicator on the meter cluster is small, so the driver keep pushing into wrong gear and still don't notice it because with that kind of torque, you won't notice it when +/- 2 speed.. haha! and so I pegang his batang and keep down shifting for him.. haha!

I was seated in front of the X-ram enjoying my Lavazza coffee and my Sampoerna.. :wink: Felt like having my holiday in Jurassic Park with all these beautiful 4x4 lining up to pick up guest for the off road tour in a tropical rainy afternoon.. absolute JOY! :love:

Went for the launch today. The test drive was awesome.....especially the on road test. Got up to 160kmh on Duke. Car was extremely stable. Took corners really well. Was sold on it. The offroad session wasnt really very impressive. The car handles like a dream.....was pretty close to getting one. Only thing was that the only available units very the limited edition ones, with no GPS and the small 6" screen. To get the X3 with the technology package have to wait about 4 months......

Problem is the X3, although it had great handling......and I loved the seating position, it just didnt seem to justify spending 378k for it..........although it looked good for a SUV, it just dindt have the aura (class) of the 5 Series (maybe thats just me). Again maybe its just me but with the 5 series spending 300K+ seems justified, it classy and seems like real value for money...espacially the 520d.....so I went ahead and booked the 520d isntead. Should get mine in June.....the headache of deciding which one is over......now just the wait...........

We went to the offroad area first, so probably we were on the opposite set of drivers. Our on road conditions were WET...quite fun also, but dare not do too much swerves on the highways...!

Yes were lucky to get out early without the rain. I had a lady driver in front of me so it was difficult to maneuver behind her but compared to our 320d I tot it was rather loud inside the cabin. Stability wise I am astounded. But preference I'll go for the 520d of which I have yet to drive

It is definitely possible for the X3 to be equipped with the incoming 2 liter petrol turbo engine, but it will not happen this year at least. According to "rumours", the 1 series will be the first to get this engine but I think the F30 will definitely comes with this highly anticipated engine. OOOO better watch out!!

As for our diesel quality, with the introduction of Euro 2M I have not heard of any problems and neither has any of the 320d owners complained of any issues. To further elaborate, Euro2M diesel has a maximum 500 ppm (parts per million) of sulphur content and all these diesel engines are built to Euro 3 requirements. Euro 3 diesel has a maximum of 350ppm and as such the diesel cars sold here have been mechanically and electronically tweaked by BMW to ensure problem free ownership. Prior to this our "unrated" diesel has 3000ppm sulphur content.

And hence if you intend to buy a diesel, please buy a local car and not grey imports. There are plenty grey imports that are stranded in East Malaysia and there is nothing the local dealers can do to settle it.
