Here what I have found:

The polymerization in motor oil is due to copious amounts of heat, oxygen, oxidants (mostly carbon steel in this case) and time - the four main 'ingredients' for polymerization of VO. (Unlike the 'fire triangle' - all 4 ingredients are not req'd for reaction, but the more of each and the faster it happens. Another 'ingredient' is UV light exposure...) All the cases of polymerized MO I've seen were due to serious engine/injector issues and/or early switchover and 'blending' or one-tanking VO. Some were from engines with excessive blow-by (poor compression, leaking valve guides, etc) and others from failed injectors.

First of all this test is stupid..we dont run our engine oil at 400 Celsius. the most 120 to 130 in racing.
people been using v300 motul on GTR r35 without any problem.
My company selling engine oil from europe, bmw certified LL04 5w40
we also have double ester 5w40 which is similar to v300 from motul.

http://www.ardeca-lubricants.be/en/index.aspx

Leave me a message if u wanna try it. Fully import from belgium and guarantee no fake or secondhand oil

Hi wensiang.. nice to know someone from Lube Industry is here. Please share with us what should we look at when we buy lubes. what is the logic of testing this to 400 deg? if we only need to run at 130 deg, then why cant we use lower grade lubes?

what does API SA-SM.. what actually it means?

diesel turbo engine like mine the temperature is about 315deg celcius and currently using voltronic 5w40, require top up within service interval due to oil consumption, suspected the oil vaporize due to high temperature. Next Im going to use Redline diesel 15w40 and see hows it goes

some good info with regard to motor oil
