Dear all, My friend is planning to put a 17inch or perhaps a 18inch rims to his e90. Does anyone knows the correct 17 inch and 18 inch rim offsets for the e90?

For 18 inch, the offset should be 34 (size is 225/40/18) for the front, and 37 for the rear (size if 255/35/18). This is based on the E90 OEM wheels.

17 inch, same offsets as 18 inch --> Front size 225/45/7 & Rear size 255/40/17

Hope this helps :eek:k:

If the E90 wanted "non-staggered" tire setup, the choices are:

18 inch rims : 245/40/18 all round (but rim must be at least 8 inch wide)

17 inch rims : 235/45/17 all round (7 or 7.5 inch wide rims are ok).

I have tried both combos for staggered and non-staggered setups for my E34. There is a minor difference but not much. However, steering weight is considerably reduced for narrower front tires in the staggered setup.

You can use the SAME rim for staggered setup, unless you want to spend $$$ for rims and tires for big gumball tires (only look nice, does not necessarily grip better).
