E90 spray to white

hi sorry need kind advice again! sorry to trouble. i should be getting a black e90. Couldn't manage to find the white stock one 2nd hand ones... is it advisable to spray to white? like the paint shop has to dismantle some part of the car. And roughly how much would it cost? Any specialized shop specialized in spraying bmw? thanks!!

i also prefer white, but i put off spraying for the fear of fixtures becomes loose

so for me, i will just stay with black for the time being

go to ProGarage at sunway damansara.. they once turned my black E36 to white for approx RM3.5k, excluding replacement of certain clips. they do a good job dismantling the necessary and painting those off body, for that 'original paint' look.

if the car is under warranty, don't spray elsewhere or else wararnty void. AB able to spray and Ab has appointed paintshop...thru this appointed paintshop..the warranty is not void. but the trade off- as usual - the price

I painted my Pug 206 in the pearl white Camry colour last month. Simply beautiful. Asked the shop if they could paint my 323 the same colour as well. Guy said very takut as tons of electronics that need to be dismantled and have to reset all sensors parameters at the end, which they could not do. Have to send to authorised SC to do the electronics on completion of the painting.

Painting at authorised SC will cost around 5K. Been told by the paint shop that there have been cases of the price going up to 10K, but he couldnt tell me what was so peculiar about that job.

BTW, even the 206 required me to send back to the SC for reset of the electronics!

yea, i like Alpine White very much too. I might spray it next year tho!

There's one guy down south on the island doing a very very good OEM paint job, you wont tell its outside job.
He takes care of all the electricals, hassle free but be prepare to pay a premium. My spray painting all done by him.

This is interesting. You may want to give me a tingle when you have finally decided to spray your car to white. Who knows, maybe I would like to follow suit :wink:

There are many shades of white. Alpine white is the usual white and std BMW colour.
Might want to check what's available.
Matt finished seem to be "in".

Next is black wheels to go with the white. He he
