E90 LED DRL Flickering upon start up

Hi guys. Is it normal for the LED DRL to flicker for about 2 to 3 seconds when starting the Engine? The DRL setting has been turned off (unticked) in the idrive menu.

Yes, it is normal. There is a program that sent a check signal to all the lamps to verify that is it OK or not.
To do that, it will send a short ON signal and check the current passing thru the lamps. It the current.amp
is within spec, the system will not generate an alarm. If it sense a zero amp, then it will generate a alarm and
indicate which lamp or bulb is faulty.

Thanks for the confirmation! I panicked for awhile when I saw the lights flickering. Lol I guess the best solution is to leave the DRL setting to on.
