E90 Head Light Auto Leveling

Hi guys, Have anyone encounter the problem with the auto levelling in the headlamp failing? mine jus did yesterday. everytime when you turn on the lights it will auto adjust and there is this kmoving up and down motion... but yesterday it jus stay down without moving up. so it basically jus work like a fog light instead.... I went to AB to get it sorted out... it working fine now.. but now when i turned on the lights it doesn't auto level itself...

I believe they turn off the auto leveling instead. Which AB you went to?

The auto leveling works more prominent when you leave your light switch on b4 u start the car. When u start, the lights come on and they move up and down. If you have started the car and then switch on the lights, they dont seem to move.

nope, these auto-levelling headlights on E90 perform a self-test during each startup (meaning you get the "moving" headlight each time) regardless of headlight is switched on/off.

I don't see tat happening on my E90. I know that the auto leveling is supposed to work real-time and constantly, but the moving up and down of the lights can only be seen as per what I have mentioned earlier. Other times it does not move. I have also confirmed this with other 2005 E90, unless this has been changed in the later models.

Yup mine is Sep 05. I believe that my auto leveling is working fine

hi guys sorry for the absent..... I have tried leaving mine in auto mode. that mean constantly on... it doesn't work.... the last time it was jus facing down and basically shooting the down on the road... after I went to AB they did some adjustment and the auto levelling jus doesn't work... now I have another problem... the entire car rattle as if it gonna fall apart... this problem has been rectify several time at Ang Trading, Auto Bavaria and Sapura Auto... but apparently it still there...

I have gotten used to leaving my on Adaptive mode i.e. headlights turn off by itself. So far, a-ok. In the E46, you can level it manually but I don't think that's the case with the E90.

BeemerS3, bro your car is getting into too much problem. I thought sapura Auto have rectified the rattling sound for you ??? Or is it high time to change your car like what we discussed when we met the other day ???

well it still too early now la.... DY.... the car is less than 1 year old.... I think i need to go back to sapura auto to get it sorted out..

Wow, you travel up KL to Sapura just to sort out the problems?

Is yours a CBU or a CKD 320/325?

no la I jus happen to be there.... sort out the rattling problem in Sapura Auto but the auto leveling in AB Johore Bahru
