Yes, the interface keeps the I-Pod charged. So, I just leave the I-Pod hooked up in the car and only remove when I wanna add new songs from my notebook PC.

i was wondering how does this ipod interface does infact look like? which ipod does it fits? i'm using the ipod nano though. and i would like to have a look at the whole set up lookalike, would you mind taking a picture of ur car's interior? to install this device, would it require any drilling or electrical wiring job be carried out? would this void any warranty of my baby?

The interface is only a cable installed in your glove compartment with that pin socket you use to connect to your PC, at least that's all you see. Becos it's in the glove compartment, your connected I-Pod is nicely inconspicuous and hidden as well.
