E90 323i 2009 - Very likely Valuetronics problem.

Dear forumers,

My blimmer E90 - 323i Valuetronics very likely faulty.

Mid driving warning lights up. Lost 90% power. Engine icon shown.

Towed to buddy workshop. INPA cable hooked up shown whole list of fault.

All fuse ok. Valuetronics not working as been briefed.

Any budders had this problem before?

Normal consumption in city never passed 7.0Km/Liter..... NOT /100KM.

Got it fix.

Went to Bavarian Auto Parts Sdn Bhd - Subang Jaya that mornoning . Pick up the Valuetronic RM 595.00 + Gasket RM 43.00.

Passed it to my buddy mechanic to replace it and double check for faults.

Less than 2 hrs everything settled - labour cost dunno yet as he have yet to pass me the bill
eventhough I been pestering him for invoice... too busy as replied each time.

Luckily the two sensors are still in good condions else $495 x 2 ..... then BIG damage.

WOW, what a vast different as compared to buying own parts from Bavarian Auto (RM 595 + 43) and RM 1,800 inclusive of labor charges paid by yapkjm.

Normally most of the workshop will not allow customer BYO the parts as labour charges ONLY able to pay
the wages.

What about rental, overhead expenses and the profit ?

This workshop is buddy buddy workshop more than 15yrs. Entire house vehicle (5 units) is sent to them. Even the ones under
warranty.

Warranty ones will be sent back to authorise workshop for regular maintenance and exchange of parts under warranty only.

Else everything shall be done by them.

The last round of major parts replacement.

2 pairs (front & rear) Sachs touring absorbers and related items, 2 sets of disk, all brake pads + labour (all under RM3,500)

Engine oil cooler + Auto oil cooler + all hose + labour (under RM 3,000).

All parts were from Bavarian Auto Parts Sdn Bhd & First Division Auto (jalan ipoh).

Moral is get to know ur workshop buddy and stick to one if he is reliable.
