E90 320i white smoke coming out

hi all...my E90 320i got some problem..1.white smoke coming out from exhaust 2.when I drive for more than 2k mileage the system ask me to add 1 litre of engine oil..anyone can share with me the problem??already go to 3 workshop area shah alam n klang..repair cost around rm2k...is it ok??

you have to replace the piston ring which means its basically a full overhaul job. imo rm2k is very cheap.

It's a common issues on 4 potter N46 engine. For the quoted amount, I assume it is valve seal replacement only. Almost equal to top overhaul job. That shouldn't include changing of CCV.

Hi bro, the white smoke coming out when you rev or in the morning. Or during idle you can see white smoke? If during idle you can notice white smoke then its piston ring. If you notice white smoke when you rev then its valve seal. RM2k is considered cheap. I was quoted RM 3-4K for valve seal.

Need more info. When got white smoke and is it a lot. When engine cold, it's normal to have little white. It's cause by water vapor

the white smoke coming out during idle..it's not when 1st start in the morning..actually i already did the top overhaul..renew the piston ring,valve seal n other small thing..cost me 4.2k including changing of gearbox oil and engine oil..thank all for the info

just replaced piston ring, valve seals and oil separator for rm2.3k
