e60 tyre recommendations please...

Hi,i'm thinking of changing my tyres 245/40/18 RFT Dunlop SP Sport 01 to normal type. I have 2 questions which i hope someone can help clarify.1. is michelin ps3 a good tyre?2. my donuts are 2yrs old, still have 60% thread, if the tyre shop accept trade in, what is the price I should be selling it? I was informed new when new, the donuts costs about 2.2k each.thank you.noobie.

I've recently changed my tyres & the trade in value for my Dunlop RFT quoted by the shop was ridiculous :motz: (

no offence but I don't recommend you keep the tyres parked there.. As tyre gets older, they will only harden up and when you want to use them, they will crack if you keep them for too long..
If you do not use RFT tyres, make sure you have puncture repair kit in you vehicle..

Thanks for highlighting that & welcome to the forum. Anyway, I'll probably need to use them within a year since I travel quite a lot or may put it up for sale. Any interested party??

Yah...bought the spare wheel kit from AB Glenmarie...around Rm1400.

The spare wheel comes with the jack tools. But I guess nothing comes cheap with AB..hehe.

Need advice on tyre. My standard RFTs worn out and I'm looking for normal tires for my e60's 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. Michelin Pilot Sport look promising but from it's website 275/35/18 is not available. The nearest available size is 265/40/18. Is it ok to use this tyre for my rear?
