This makes me worry whether I should continue to use Shell 95 or switch to 97.

Our fuel is really a problem. Oil producing nation and still stuck with such backwards refining process?

@splee: It has nothing to do with RON levels, it's the sulphur levels in the petrol. Whether it is RON95 or 97 or 100, as long as it's EURO 2M, it's a piece of shit

I am not sure what is the original mileage of the car but I suspect it will be at least 60,000km. However from my ownership, it is around 22,000km so that makes it around 80,000km before the injector failed. This is also not an accurate benchmark because there are cases where people replace their injectors more than 2 times in a year. After I replace my injectors, I am using BHP oil because they claim their oil has the lowest sulphur contents. I am unable to verify this and it feels the same to me so I am merely believing what BH Petrol says about Infiniti 2x. So far everything is working fine, acceleration is smooth and I love my car :)

i too have the same problem with my n53... replaced all 6 ignition coils earlier this year and replaced another 2 in September. Now the problem occur again. sent for a check up and the mech identified injector #6 is faulty and needs replacing... joy oh joy!

Better buy a box full bro...looks like you'll be changing them quite frequently

Hey guys, my turn to ask for help :(My car is a 2007 530i N53 engine and here is what happens:- If I leave my car parked for a few hours (i.e. morning cold start, after work trying to start the car), the engine will vibrate badly when I start it.- I observe that the rpm was alright in the beginning (around 900-1000 rpm) but after 10 secs or so, it drops to 500-600 and this caused the engine to jerk/vibrate.- If I drive for 3-4 mins and when the engine is warm, the car works PERFECTLY fine. I am puzzled as to why it is vibrating only during cold starts?- I have changed the MAF sensor, air filter, High Pressure Fuel Pump, engine oil/filter (since my service is due) but did not help to resolve the issue.I have not had this problem before until few weeks ago. I plugged into the OBD and there are no errors related to this at all. My guess is that the intake might have issues? Not enough air going in during cold starts or something on the throttle body? Please help!Anyone know any workshops in Klang Valley that is well versed with N53 engines? I believe this is specific to N53 because the normal mechanic that I visit have no idea WTF is happening. It seems that this is not common among N52's.Tolonggggg!!! :( :( :(
Hi broo..ur problem settle?

Maybe can try to change plug coil and ensurebuse the right spark plug i had this problem before clean throttle body and air intake manifold you might need to change the gasket too cause the air might escape from there well just a suggestion you can try it
