yes...most likely the condensate has iced up in your evaporator.when this happens the airflow will be somewhat reduced. This could be due to a dirty evaporator or your drain hole is partially clogged.

Tis holiday traveling and found air con when running after bout 1.5 hour also not cold and I turn to fan mode smell like frozen ice. After blow a while then turn back aircon normal again. Could it be frozen ice in my aircon system? Wat is the cause as I now put my temp to 26 oredi. Any sifu can advice?
My E60 also experience the same things...plan to send to acc shop dis coming Saturday....

I recently had an air con failure, no cool air, after diagnosis it turned out to be a compressor failure. The symptoms were there for a few weeks but I ignored them thinking it was my imagination. The main symptom was the engine speed dropping about 100rpm when the car was at stand still ticking over and the compressor started, this was not present before. The next symptom was loss of cold air during a long run, I switched off the compressor and let it cool down, the cold air returned after about 10 minutes, the following few days all was good. I parked up the car for a week and upon starting it there was no cool air. After being advised by a colleague I took the car to Rasa Sayang at SS14 (Guan), he diagnosed the failed compressor, recommended that the condenser was changed and advised that a new drive belt to be fitted. All fixed in 3 1/2 hours at a price much less than I was quoted by a local branch of a tyre dealer. If you want Guan's contact please PM me.

I did mine at SSG. The owner will check and explain to you if other components are faulty. If only a valve failure, RM650 excluding gst and it is icy cool with machine flushing and new compressor oil.
Fixed 3 months ago and so far so good.
I read uk forum about this generation of compressor generally quite robust as it has this solenoid valve to shut down at limit, unless you have overfilled the refrigerant which caused whole compressor failure with requirement to flush the whole system due to broken debris.
Generally if there is sufficient pressure at the high pressure line, your compressor should be good.
Hope it help....

Call Naidu +60 19 211 0554
Great job and good price.
Naidu is definitely the best term of knowledge...he's been doing bmw aircond for so many years...but cleanliness is an issue...either he or his workers will leave their thump print every where!..dulu la..before sending your car, go visit him and see how they do things...if it ok with you then only sending your car..

Dear all sifus, i had A/C problem recently and my symptoms is same with u all, when i stop at traffic light, my A/C wont cold and need to wait around 20mins.My car year 2004 525i,and may i know that is it the expansion valve issue or compressor?

Try SSG Salak South. Just google the contact. It is the most affordable option and the owner could explain to you the reason why it failed and how to fix it. Check my thread earlier.
