e60 air cond service

hi all sifu,i have some prob with my air-cond. night time (after 7pm onwards) usually my air cond will frozen if drive more than an hour / above. no air blowing even turning to max. got sound but no air. will not happen during daytime. any idea why?guess i need to have the air cond service.im currently up in kl staying at bukit jalil. any trusted / recommended air-cond workshop specialise for E60 to intro? i need to get it fix urgently as am driving back to jb fri / sat. thx all in advance

Dear sifus, I have not service myaircon since I bought new this 523i in 2007. So far no problem la... I dont like to touch the aircon if it doesnt give any problem....what do you all think? Is that a good decision? Any good aircon wshop in S Alam or Klang just in case.

yup... don't touch the air con if it don't give you any problem.... what we can do is changing the pollen filter....

will go over ah seng shop tomorrow. update here after pay him a visit on my air cond prob tomolo as i happen to drop by kl two days back. getting serious...blowing hot air only now damn...

Replacing compressor is a common solution and an expensive one. Some shops asked me to replace the compressor but one shop said highly possible the control value kong. Change that, now the air con still freezing. The shop owner says if I drive a Porsche Cayenne, he will asked me to replace the whole compressor too to avoid fussy people

I don’t take freezing as an issue. It is better freezing than sauna. Anyway... you have sauna or freezing issue ? Freezing? Still furn off the AC la... set the temp higher.

My air cond is having this problem blowing hot air when turn it on and during hot day it is blowing warm air but when the weather is cold it is freezing. Ask the shop he said compressor Kong..so is it compressor or the valve as mentioned by cg. And how much is the control valve changed?

control valve complete jobs around rm650 ..... also the mech need to take out ur compressor..... maybe thats why most mech will say compressor kong or need to change new without inspecting the compressor off from the car

I have just replace my compressor and its now superb cooling. They hv 2 types for e60 model. One type is come with 4 holes cost 1850, 1 year guarantee and anotber type come with 6 holes rm2050 as also come with 1 year guarantee including labor. Both using denso brand but some workshop dont cover guarantee for a year but this one yes. Its located in tmn lembah maju behind restaurant gobi call air cooi

i experienced just few times, especially in the morning cold start at highland places like cameron highlands and genting, no air came out until i drove for about 15 mins then the condition gradually back to normal. and yes this only happen at highland places, no issue at all in my house, etc. what do you think? something get freezed inside and blocking the air flow? thanks

I got quote for my e60 aircond problem from FM.AH rm11000.00. Compressor and fan change for the same problem like u all mention aft drive for 5-10min then got cool air and turn to hot if in the jam. Only back when running. now looking outside for cheaper repair at kota kinabalu area

i think if you ship yr car to semenanjung...repair ac n send back home will be cheaper......

I had problem wit my ac hot when jam but after drive smooth back to normal. The aircon shop say my fan speed not running on high speed. But just now test the fan run can on high speed when stop.
Is it true?
