Thanks, look forward to your impression. I checked out the E60 interior for the first time today (520i), and boy, is the quality, fit and design so much, much better than the current E-class'. Its certainly more spacious behind too. I've read some articles slamming the cupholders. I wonder why. They work perfectly. Its a bit further away than I like though, in front of the passenger...or is there another one which I missed in my excitement? It doesn't look like it'll take a large cup, so maybe that's why the U.S. reviewers were complaining...
Its also wonderful that BMW has continued their tradition of having great looking, and more importantly, great to hold, steering wheels.
Your 530i has Active Steering as standard right? Update us on your feedback on that too yah...

man.. you should have looked at the 530i's comfort seat.. everything is electrically adjustable.. its 16 way adjustable, which means there is 8 things you can adjust to fit your comfort on one seat..
the steering automatically rises when you stop the engine to provide more space for you to get out, and when u turn you key to no.1,2 , the steering drops back to the last position.
hi just wanted to mention to you that the car u bought has no dynamic drive.
it is kinnda weird only the first batch got it and it does make a big difference in driving.
the way to differentiate the first models that came out is.
first they are semi automatic seats with sports suspensions. i think it is same as the M suspensions.
second it has the same tyre size as the 530d 245...instead of the 225 tyre size u get on the normal 530i.
other than that is is really a neat car.
just need to ask whether ures is cbu or ckd??
cause just wanted to check the difference between both and whether is there a difference is quality. cause there were unconfirm reports that there is. although i have not personally seen it but i hope there isnt as it is one heck of car.

while the 525i and 530i is chrome on black
and the 545 is purely chrome..
geee the lighting is bad i guess. but really curious on the ckd vs cbu.
i know compared to merc beemer imports everything even the screws i think and just assembles here while usually other car makers for some parts like leather seats etc uses local manufactorers.
also one thing is also clear the car with dynamic drive has better control but not as comfortable as ures.

Congrates for the new 5series! Its such a lovely car, I love the design, performance, colour & everything to it! I noticed that u just purchased ur car from Cartrade.. just wondering exactly when did u get it cause I ordered my 530i since November 2004 (and to receive after CNY), as they did not have stocks in Silver Grey or Black. As in the picture urs is Silver Grey. I even asked Auto Bavaria for either the colours and they replied the same - out of stock.

hm.. seriously i have no idea about that, but it seems to me there isn any diffrence thou, to me at least. it still feels the same during bends.
mine is a CKD, from memory when i placed my order in cartrade, there wasn any difference in specs for the CBU and CKD.
hi, yea..i ordered the car about that time too, nov 2004, i was shown a internal email at that time, telling the sales men to advise customer not to choose silver grey and olivin because thier paint plant broke down, but i went ahead anyway as the salesman assuered me that i will get my car before CNY and i was thinking it would be better for me to reg at 2005 or else it will be one year old in two months time.
i got my car on (10th feb) thursday i think, to be honest, just the week before on saturday afternoon, i got really anoyed becasue the salesman said the car would come that week, which is the same thing he said last week. and the week before. i picked up the phone and told him i dont want the car any more and i am going to get the Merc E240 and i want my refund.
and to my suprise, the car came the next day. (on a sunday) and i started my registration and insuarance stuff on monday morning.
