That guy is just an idiot! i'll drive fast but never drift on the road. If i saw anyone doing that on the road who nearly hits me i will chase him down and send him to hell!

vs

2003 BMW E60 530i 6-spd auto, k&n replacement filter. Mileage: 80,000KM

Manually timed the 0-100 times for the e36, around 6 secs!! With all the goodies, the e36 had 210hp?

its 240hp. manual 240hp lighter car of course smokes a 231hp auto... but the 530i can go up to 250km/h while the modded 328 only 240km/h based on yeecher.. have u reached the speed ? knowing u of course u will
stock 328i = 193hp
530i 03-04 = 231hp
530i 05-07 = 258hp
530i 07- = 272hp

This e36 is a fast car, but dont think it has 240hp with just bolt on mods like cams, chip and intake plus extractor.

Simply put, there is only so much juice you can extract from the 2.8 block, unless you increase the compression by skimming the head or putting in a set of high compression pistons, big intake valves, 3 angle port and etc.

I agree with you bro.. So optimus prime if your saying they have big balls when they do this? And if they continue this and hit other car very badly and that person is seriously injured, dont you think its just dumb? You may have balls, but if dont have brains just stay off the road. I just had a brief shoot-out with a new model Civic 2.0. Though I managed to stay ahead with about 3-4 cars length, I was surprised the fella didn't fall back as easily as I hoped. I think my mistake was flooring the pedal in D mode. I was wondering, would it have made a difference if I had gone on S mode? Naive question I know, so please don't flame me! In the end, what I wanna learn from y'all is what is the function of S mode, does it hold the gears to higher rpms in all circumstances (i.e. does it make any diff if pedal to the floor?) or is there any change in ratios or pick-up. I drive an E92 323i.

Juan... in sports mode, the fifth gear is the last gear before you shift into D, then it upshifts into sixth gear...

btw, S mode moves the gear changes higher on the rev band.. engine also feels lighter..
