:listen: ... due to the heavier body, you would tend to feel that the E90 would hv the advantage but "real-time side by side" action, the E60 takes the E90 by almost a car's body length (std stock).
Hwever with its(E90) Power-kitted box, it will take the E60 by a body's length 0-100. The E60 will catch up, with plenty in reserve soon after :top::top::top: ..... :4: ..

my experiences vastly applicable on the 530d that I test drove which were only two units. The 320d acceleration is definitely more superior than the 530d; I'd say the 530d accelerates pretty well and you still feel the kind of diesel torque that pulls the car pretty well, and bear in mind the 530d was fitted with 19'' rim which might hamper some of the acceleration due to the size of the rim.
Whatever it is, its a darn nice car to drive; still thinking whether I should go for newer model e.g 2006-2007 523/525 compare to a 2004 530d. Would be viewing two units of petrol variant today and see how it goes then.
Cheers

BTW , happy hunting and hopefully you lay your hand on a good condition beast . cheers bro
