:listen: ... due to the heavier body, you would tend to feel that the E90 would hv the advantage but "real-time side by side" action, the E60 takes the E90 by almost a car's body length (std stock).
Hwever with its(E90) Power-kitted box, it will take the E60 by a body's length 0-100. The E60 will catch up, with plenty in reserve soon after :top::top::top: ..... :4: ..

hi shiva73,
my experiences vastly applicable on the 530d that I test drove which were only two units. The 320d acceleration is definitely more superior than the 530d; I'd say the 530d accelerates pretty well and you still feel the kind of diesel torque that pulls the car pretty well, and bear in mind the 530d was fitted with 19'' rim which might hamper some of the acceleration due to the size of the rim.
Whatever it is, its a darn nice car to drive; still thinking whether I should go for newer model e.g 2006-2007 523/525 compare to a 2004 530d. Would be viewing two units of petrol variant today and see how it goes then.

Cheers

Should get the 530d owners to comment too on the real time experience. Anyway i agree on those massive torque on diesels, unbeatable.

BTW , happy hunting and hopefully you lay your hand on a good condition beast . cheers bro

Couldn't agree more :), let's see how it goes then. No much 530d on the market and I test drove a few dy and narrowed down to only 1 unit and submitted for loan application dy.

Having said so , its still lot to compare from E90's 340Nm torque vs E60's 500Nm..anyway , both rocks.

Bro Creed , wish i have laid on 530D some time ago , didnt have the guts , i m just driving a slow siput 530 petrol.

Wa .. u were talking about e90 and now you submitted for E60 .. good choice bro. congrats.. dont forget to give free tumpang one day . cheers

Welcome to the oil burnerz club..!!!

Is it true that the bank is stricter is processing loan for cars like BMW? The loan is still pending for approval and they told me one of the reason was due to the car model.

Hope it goes well.

Finally found the topic I need advice.

Recently my CEO offered to sell his 530d 2006 at RM99,000 company car. Anything I should be aware of? Whats the current marketing value?

It has been few months after I upgraded the software. If I recall correctly, the place called BM World at Desa Tun Razak. The gear change on the transmission seems much better and smooth especially during breaking at the traffic light and no more brake jerk.

Mind to share the damage of upgrading software? Cheers

this thread needs to be active again. i think my e90 320d a little too compact for my growing family. everytime i think of 530d (albeit most of them are 2003/2004) i think i need to "upgrade" from a 3er to a 5er,but then again, letting go my 2010 LCi for a 2004 pre Lci e60 is a little step backwards?

Enlighten me with your thoughts.

Rule out f10 520d,way beyond my budget.

I've said it before and will say it again - the E60 530d (231bhp engine) ranks for me as the Best Car I Have Ever Owned. Granted, this was in Europe, where the diesel was a lot cleaner and the thing ran sweet as honey. I love my F10, but I sure do miss the kick-in-the-backside torque and the lovely, lovely engine tone of the straight 6 oil-burner.
