Guys wanna share something, had this guy who was one my friends friend, he just got his evo 10, and im not sure why he was against BMW, which obviously made me mad! lol, after having some decent arguments about both the cars, we decided to hit the road, took the sri hartamas road from section 16 pj, raced all the way to the hartamas exit, believe me or not, my 530d, trashed him from the start till the exit, once me made a U turn, i saw him showing his thumbs up, to BMW, so guys lets all cheers for our Beemers!

was this on clear roads or traffic? the 530d has good tq with autobox, so in traffic, u will def have the upper hand. if it was clear roads, will be a good fight from low to meidum speeds

Whatever it is bro ... u made the ' Beemers' proud. Kudos to you and your ride.Next time you call me also , i wana test my 550 as well. :p

Actually no need to prove anything bro. There's always another faster than you. If still itchy Ramsing The Turbosingh aka HamsapKing can help.

if it was friend VS friend then it's OK ..worried if some strangers out there ..you may end up dangering yourself ..the loser party may end up hitting you at the rear which may lead to a crash ...just be carefull ya ...

i once saw a white De-badged white e92 tamed a supped up Imprezza ...and all i could see is that the imprezza was doing his best to catch up the white e92 ...the e92 belongs to an old chap here ...

I can feel the vibration of the engine on my steering. Is that normal?

Probably the engine mount isn't that good anymore. You can consider changing it along with your gearbox mount. It's not very expensive :)

1. Don't race on public roads
2. Don't admit in public when you do so :D

Hi there, im using a 530d, and im also having the same issue, but my friend whos a bmw expert from quill, told me that this could be due to the arm bush, if the rubber got a crack usually u can fell the vibration on the steering as well, so this might be one of the cause

In the market for a 530d as of now, it would be my first UDM and am stopping by Ingress to check the services history soon :)

Any advice when am decided prior to pay the booking fees? It would be a transaction directly with the owner and what comforts me is, the services were carried out at Ingress from Day 1.

Test drove the car and although the pickup not really comparable to E90 320d but still very respectable, and i didn't try the DS mode yet, hitting 160-180km is brisk and effortless which i like a lot

Anyone can advise what was the original size rim fitted to the E60 530d year 2004? I've viewed a few units but most of the units came with after market rim which was not original. Just curious what was the original size. Was it the same for 530d ordinary version as well as the M-Sport version?

Appreciate advises from sifu :)

Try to check at the body of the door panel. There r few tyre measurement stated and I think the smallest is the ori size

If your 530D highline or M-sport..???? For highline stock rim is 17"..
If M-sport will be 18"..!!

Hi Sean,
To be very honest am too confused with all these; I noticed although the seller claim its a M-Sport version but I didn't see the steering with the "M" logo; however the front bumper did show the M-Sports alike. I too check the VIN via the realoem.com but it didn't state M-Sport package is in.

How to differentiate the highline and M-Sport for 530d? Appreciate if you can shed some lights

Bro , are u saying that E90 320D pick up is better than E60 530D?

hi shiva73,
my experiences vastly applicable on the 530d that I test drove which were only two units. The 320d acceleration is definitely more superior than the 530d; I'd say the 530d accelerates pretty well and you still feel the kind of diesel torque that pulls the car pretty well, and bear in mind the 530d was fitted with 19'' rim which might hamper some of the acceleration due to the size of the rim.

Whatever it is, its a darn nice car to drive; still thinking whether I should go for newer model e.g 2006-2007 523/525 compare to a 2004 530d. Would be viewing two units of petrol variant today and see how it goes then.

Cheers

Should get the 530d owners to comment too on the real time experience. Anyway i agree on those massive torque on diesels, unbeatable.

BTW , happy hunting and hopefully you lay your hand on a good condition beast . cheers bro
