When you said to massage the leather care into the felt material, are you referring those rubber seal along the window panel only ?

The new seals apparently solve the issue. Quite a number of owners have reported that, worldwide.

As for the lotion, I meant to apply them to the felt material at the top of the door frame. This part touches the car body when the door is closed and the rubbing causes the annoying noise. It's very interesting that by lowering the window by just a couple of mm, there won't be any problem. So I can only guess the panel somehow exerts inwards force when fully closed and causes the felt to come into contact too much with the body frame.

The lotion trick worked for me (been many many months without the noise); so I will monitor before I bug them to change.

Another quality issue which I hear about is dodgy paint finishes i.e. untouched sanding. I'll leave it to the detailing gurus to elaborate, but do check that out too. It may not warrant any remedial action (nor would you want them to do it), but it'll be leverage for freebies hopefully.

Yeah, it does appear the E60s are flying out the door. There were 3 right in front of a middle class eatery in Subang Jaya yesterday. One of them had the gorgeous M Sport 18s. Well, hope you blokes enjoy washing off all the oil from the exhaust fan!!! I guess between doing that and risking jacked if one parks further away, I know which option I'd go for.

They respray the bumper but do not do it properly.
