E46 Steering Free Play

Hi Sifus,My ride is E46 320i year 1999 encountered steering free play even after replacing the steering rack (using rebuilt), lower arm bush, lower coupling. Recently I decided to have third opinion from another workshop and upon checking all the joints related to it seems like everything all in order except the hydraulic hose between the power steering pump to steering rack there is sign of leaked and he said probably this is the culprit. The reason given by him something new to me and therefore I seek your opinion whether the leakage at the hydraulic hose can drop the performance of steering rack and lead to free play on steering while driving? cheers

Last time i also got this problem, and find out that the skrew at no 5 longgar.

Last time i also got this problem, and find out that the skrew at no 5 longgar.

Yesterday try to move the steering and there is sound klok...klok between the steering column and steering rack, so far no idea the exact source of the sound. Harap-harap yang no. 5 je.
