Some part dealers are selling at RM100-150. RM90 is considered cheapest I found. The bracket and clips are made of plastic while the top part is rubber, which will deteriorate over time and cause water to sip into the headlamp if the housing is not sealed properly.

Did the last part of my cooling system overhaul today. Parts all bought from Bavarian Auto SS2?:

- Water pump (Saleri): RM115*
*OEM part. Material is metal composite. Saleri is Italian which OEM for Ferrari as well. Original BMW part costs RM310
- Thermostat (Engine): RM154
- Thermostat (Radiator): RM198
- BMW Coolant: RM30 per bottle (2 bottles required)
- Spritzer distilled water 9L: RM10

Wingzee, i assume the distilled water is to dilute the bmw coolant (again assuming it is a concentrate)?
Where did you do your servicing?

Yes bro. Saleri is RM115 while original BMW is RM310. Almost triple the price.

Overseas forum all pointed that Saleri is in fact the manufacturer of the original BMW pump. Just that of course original BMW one got the BMW logo lah. :D

oh..ya find some info's about Saleri water pump from E46 Fanatics forum: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=906044
Btw i change my water pump wit brand TRW about 3 years back was RM115 too.
So consider you are getting a good price too bro.

Yea. RM115 for a part which only requires replacement every 100k km is quite okay. Who said BMW parts are expensive. :D

I did some reading and apparently Meyle is another OEM for water pumps.

Hi bro, yes distilled water to dilute. Most mechs would not bother and only use tap water which may contain contaminants which may harm the radiator in the long run.

Performed some basic oil change in Bomin
1. ATF,
2. ATF filter,
3. ATF service gasket,
4. Rear Differential Oil
5. Coolant
Cost: RM700++

Found engine oil leak (not so serious). According to Bomin, need to perform major service for "C" curve of the my M43 engine..Cost is about RM1000+-..is this a reasonable price?

BMW Water Tank replacement

Hello

I have a BMW318i 2002. Yesterday my car overheated after fillin its water Tank twice in 2 days. I brang it to workshop and the repair guy told me to change the water tank(leaking) ,it costs me 1600RM at first. After asking for a cheaper price he got me 1300RM. But I called another shop and I've got the price between 1300RM and 1500RM to change the Radiator+Water tank+2 Hoses. Finally my Workshop guy said the qualities are different(doe'nt make a sense at all).

Has anyone any Idea?!!!!!!!!

Hi bro, finally got your shocks replaced? Any idea which Bilstein model are they? Certain parts may get cheaper eg. abs mounting but overall is quite okay.
