My ride is now almost at 65000 kms. On October 1st at 60k kms, I felt vibrations on my car seat when i am stationery at traffic light stops and also in auto D-mode. I called M-Speed & went in for engine mounting change:

2 pcs engine mounting RM330

And so the damage is:-

Pulley RM155
Fan Belt Tensioners RM340
Intake Separator RM148
Labour RM80

Just done an oil services at M-Speed, Subang yesterday:

CAR SERVICES #4 - Engine oil, oil filter, labor - RM180,expansion water tank - RM300,thermostat - RM160, screw - RM15)

Total: RM655.00

The mechanic said it's good to change 'expansion water tank' every 60K km...

My brake lining warning light came on.

I sent my e46 to AB - Segambut and was RM1,147 poorer

Breakdown of my bill is as follows:

Check All Pads and Disc Condition = 22
Replace brake pads of front & rear = 143
Linings (front) 1 pair = 432
Sensor front = 76
Linings (back) 1 pair = 380
Sensor back = 76
Plastilube = 9
Service Tax = 9

Total = 1,147

My question: do they have to change sensors everytime they change the lining? :dunno:

Was driving normally yesterday when i heard a very sickening sound which sounded like metal being dragged along the road. Got it checked and it appears that the driver side rear brake disc has worn out. Apparently you have to replace both rear discs although only one was badly worn out. I had it replaced at CKP Auto near BMWorld (Pandan Indah). Breakdown of costs are as follows:-

1) Rear Brake Disc X 2 RM640-00 (Original from AB)
2) Labour RM70-00

Total Damage today RM710-00

P.s. I was told by the workshop that they get a discount when they buy their parts from AB. They asked me if I wanted to buy OEM brake discs (from Germany) for about RM100 less each but I thought it was better to be safe than sorry when it comes to brakes so I asked for originals from AB.

Just did the following at heritage for my E46 N42.

1. ATF Change + ATF gasket + ATF Filter + 7 litres of Esso ATF
2. Engine mounting X 2
3. Gearbox mounting X 2
4. Expansion Tank + Coolant
5. L/H Side Mirror (Heated Wide Angle)

Price: RM 2,000-00 inclusive of labour.

Gear shifts feels smoother and car does not sink/dive when shifting from P to D.

Hi guys,
Had a problem with slight vibration during idling & low speed. Diagnosed. Igniton coil problem at pod 2 & 3. At first wanted to change only two coils then being advised by mechanic i changed all four coils.

Cost:
Ignition coils rm200 x 4nos
Labour charge rm40
Now car better pick-up, power and zero vibration.
