E46 325i Vs E90 320i

Dear Cifus,Im looking forward to buy a beemer.. Kindly school me on the differences between E46 325i & E90 320i in terms of engine power, value for money, maintenance cost and reliability. Im in a dillema on choosing one from these two models. Appreciate the inputs :smokin:

This is just my opinion. E90 is newer and generally better overall than E46. Overall build quality i would say the E90 is better. In terms of looks then definitely E46. In terms of parts then the E46 is cheaper. In terms of modding potential the E46 has more options than the E90.

With the E46 325i you have the award winning M54 silky smooth straight 6 which BMW is famous for while on the E90 320i you have newer technology, newer chassis and still is the current 3 series (well for a few more months anyway).

Thanks alot for your opinion. Wud u like to share some info about SMG and M-sport model (CKD). I've been hearing SMG is very troublesome. One more doubt, how many types of engine do dey have for 325i E46.

Wah Gopi this is a very long subject to answer... i suggest you do your homework in the web... "Google" have all your answers...

Basically owning a BMW=UDM needs lots of study in what your getting into... cause its an entirely different beast in each series and each engine variation... for a quick study go here:
