E39 rear aft arm replacement

Just replaced the rear suspension aft arm.....rm230 a piece from bav auto.febi made in germany....View attachment 32464Pre loading the suspension prior tightening is a must or otherwise the bush will koyak in due timeView attachment 32465Also replaced the boot strut.rm 60 a piece.wow what a difference.no more heaving it open and now i have to push it close instead of getting gravity assist...

I too just replaced the air spring, but frankly say, i like the old one compare to new one, now i need to push the trunk to close and left the thumbprint..wth!

What if u put one new and the other one old.. advisable? Just a tought...

I reckon the new one will spoil easily, then u have to replace 2 again very soon.
 
I've replaced all my 39 underbody bushing n arm...
Normally parts should be change in pairs...
