Replacing my IR Remote Button Rubber...
Bought the rubber from tweiboon this morning...
Back home DIY myself the IR Remote...
The old IR Remote with torn rubber button...
The new rubber button...
The IR Remote & the new rubber button...
The casing open remove the transponder & battery casing cover and new rubber button side by side...
IR Remote with new rubber button and the old rubber button beside...
IR Remote with the new rubber button fitted...
After DIY completed the IR Remote Key have to Initialized with the reciecver under the rear view mirror with some steps...
Initialising the transmitter I read in the Bimmerboard.com...
1)Open the driver side door with the key
2)Put the key into the ignition cylinder turn to position 1(on) for 5 seconds then turn off remove the key...
3)Press the no 1 button near key holder and hold then press the no 2 button near to key shell 3 times within 10 seconds...
4)Released button no 1 the LED will flash slowly for 10 seconds...
5)While the LED is flashing hold the IR Remote/Transmitter near to the reciever under the rear view mirror not more then 15cm then press any one of the buttons...
The central locking function will engaged and disengaged immediately indicating that the transmitter has been successfully initialised...
Any other transmitter use for the car (max 4 are possible) must be initialised with in 30 seconds and do not operate the ignition key...
If the LED do not flash or the central locking does not respond the initialising procedure must repeated...
