No,,no..no, the lights move according to the gears you are in as it is hard wired to the original gearbox panel lights. You have to see it to believe it..It also light up slightly in amber if you have your headlights on during the night. The actual gear position lights is in red. That thing cost almost RM1k so it works beautifully. I was told the M DCT gearknob is found on the M6 originally.
