Thats on my to do list, but I'm going to do the M DCT knob like the one in T2Ribena's M5 DCT. The one on your photo is the normal DCT.

Just looked on the website, the illuminated one is only available in LHD, and that is out of stock.

The non-illuminated one is available.

The one Im talking about is selling on motivemods.com, about USD390 with ori shifter, same price for normal DCT or M DCT. Damn expensive but its modded original BMW knob.

Can this DCT shifter retrofit for our e39 auto?

Yes. The guy on motivemods already modded the wiring to fit our cars, which also includes additional circuit board for it to work properly.

Quite hard to mod ourselves, bro Fireuz tried for his E46 and burned his DCT knob circuitry.

I thought motivemods can do gear knob similar to F10 "pilot knob" The M DCT looks quite normal.

Don't know, for me the M DCT goes well with the E39 interior, the normat DCT knob looks out of place in an E39...too angled look.

This one is installed in an E46, cant find an image for e39.

If you say yours was plug and play, then the guy you bought it from has already modded it for you to plug and play (same with the one selling on motivemods)

Shame that BMWOption was hit hard with the recent Thailand flood, I believe they still recovering/rebuilding their shop.
