No one with stock e39 speakers?

Why u need the stock speaker? Even if available I think the condition will not be good. Why dun u just upgrade to after market one.
Wide range of choice depend on your budget. Can do justice to the car and ears....

Im not much of an ICE person bro IM. So the stock speakers will do for me. But thanks for the suggession.

Bro deep, will be upgrading the whole of my E46 sound system this weekend. Wanna join the session? :)

Bro, I'm on stock E39 speakers, but I'm also keen on keeping those intact at the moment.

Have you tried surveying in kedai-potong's?

Thanks for the offer bro wingzee. I'm sure you will enjoy your ice better now. When and where are you getting it done? If time permits maybe can drop by to catch a glimpse.

I haven't tried them bro. Maybe I'll head down there n try. Thanks for the idea bro.

i'm stepping into ICE modding soon for my e39....
pretty much this is going to b d setup

HU: Alpine IDA-X305s or CDA-117....but I prefer X305s....worse case plug in my MX406 again

Amp: Mcintosh MC404M.....from my previous setups

Front Comps: Dynaudio 242GT...also from my previous setups

Rear subs: Focal BE 13WS...this is going be my first time using Focal....strangely they produce 5" subwoofer that goes down to 35hz....haven't auditioned it...
this is an option....i might be going for CDT 6x9 carbon series subs.....depends on how much I need to mod d rear panel

interested to see how the Dyn mids will be mounted in the door. would be great if you can take some pics during the install. planning to start install in my e39 soon too. already have the following except for the sub.

HU: Using stock bmw nav unit

Amp: either Genesis Profile Ultra x 2 + Profile Sub x 1; or
Alpine PDX F6 + PDX M6

Front Comps: Focal K2P
Rear Coomps: Focal Polyglass 165V30 or 130V2

Sub: not sure yet but leaning towards IDQ10v3

how do u plan to get d subs to sound good in d cabin? u gonna cut any hole to let d sub sound go into d cabin?
d problem with e39 is that d sub will b boomy bcoz there is not much of holes that allows d sub sound to go into the cabiny
Focal K2P may be a good match with genesis....but it may sound a bit thin with alpine amps.....

i'm going to cut d door panel....not much of a choice left for me
plus i'm going to to expose d dyn mids with its original grills for d best sound

I have not installed mine yet. Still thinking.... should I re-install my previous set-up or not. Where do you intend to get them done pam?.

i'll just leave the rear arm rest down and there's already a hole big enough re the ski hatch. if still not enough bass coming through, guess can also drive with one side or both sides of rear seats folded down :)

just went to KK Lau to discuss about the installation stuffs
d tweeter pillar is something new...no mods to current A-pillar

doors....no choice...gonna cut open to fiber up some portions....

rears....6" mids...some customized passives....mod d sound box....create something like bookshelf speaker box....
it wont go to low...estimating prolly 30hz.....
wont get much bass thumping.....

now he has got no time to fix it...so letting him warm up my gears first...hehehehehe

Wow 5 farad sounds abit overkill for your amps :p nice simple clean setup. 5 series really have better door room space designs :)

well these are old stuffs that I had with me for quite awhile
so re-use them first.....
don't plan to have a massive setup like last time....hehehehehehe now family man....unlike being single days
the door room might be plenty...but its really a big hassle to mod them...
took them 2 days to fully mod it....

anyway.....i have d original 5" mids for rear with me....condition is old
sound is ok, no cracking sound.....giving it away for free....perhaps trade off with a teh tarik.....those interested please PM me....first come first serve basis

just finished some minor adjustments to the front high pass n rear low pass plus slight adjustments of d gains...
did some demagnetizing track....this is recommended for everyone who enjoys music.....its not going to transform ur setup to super duper sound...but it helps restore some tonal to ur system....

this is my first time playing ipods on McIntosh + Dynaudio setup.......first of all....have to make do with d SQ.....

my next steps prolly move to add a small cap for the front HU.....
custom make d front passive xovers.....d mids n tweeter response a bit off due to cabin n position of drivers.....
