E39 Air-Con Noisy

I need all the sifus advice what is wrong with my air-con. Mine is a e39 525i, 2002 local AB. when air-con is turned on, I can hear high pitch noise which I believe is coming from the compressor. Turn-off air-con, the noise disappeared. wonder what could be the problem?? compressor about to died, bad bearing???? Thanks

if its cumming from the compressor, mebe the bearing is faulty. decent a/c mech should be able to change he bearing. or mebe the noise u hear cuming from the auxfan hitting the plastic cover. i have his on my car. intermitently appear.

Just take a drive to our favourite BMW air-cond expert Naidu to sort this out.

Compressor about to give way hence the noise. Naidu removed the compressor and drained the oil out, it was yellowish (as compared to whitish when it is new) Replaced with new original compressor and now it is perfect.
