E36 M3, the car idles at 6 to 6.5k RPM and the whole car is vibrating. What should I check?- engine mounting?- gb mounting?- ignition coil?- air sensor? Thanks in advance!

Wat u mean whole car vibrating??? Issit when u pull at low gear u feel some vibration???? From where ??? Need more input in order to help...if ignition coil u can test it wit just on d engine n not need to run d car....more input will help to narrow down d posibility....tq

ahahah, sorry2 sir! the car was idling at 600 - 650 RPM only. then we tried putting in more fuel [ as the fuel gauge was showing almost empty ] and the vibrations were gone! Very perplexing i'd say. any input about this fellas?

Check for vaccum leak, before jumping to idle control valve check the crankcase ventilation diaphragm pump see if itis leaking(the plastic is brittle if its been there for too long). The symptom is you can hear loud hissing after revving the engine. Check also all the vaccum hoses leading to the air intake manifold or air intake hose.

Last time my ride felt like that i changed the fuel filter. Then ok. The filter was badly clogged.

Cheers

ini tak cukup minyak punya pasal ler. check yer fuel pump, check your fuel gauge if it is accurate. the fuel gauge might show there alittle but left, but in actual fact there is alot less.

yes sir, we believe it's because of low fuel. the gauge was a midge close to the wall when it happened. pumped in 10 litres and voila! no more low RPM in idle!

Bro, where is this "crankcase ventilation diaphragm pump" could not find it at http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do?kind=P&series=E36&arch=0

appreciate if you could point me to the right diagram.. really interested to know abt this part..

so now you know the fuel gauge is not so accurate, everytime the warning lite pops up indicating low fuel, head straight to the nearest gas station.
