e36 got Vinos?

hey guys,i'm hunting for a e36 for a couple of months already but i need to know some things? Does the e36 comes with vinos? i read somewhere that the 96' onwards has vinos. is that tru? Which year onwards comes with the digital dash for the aircond controls?Is is better to pay a little more for the vinos but more fuel efficient? like the v-tec system. thanks guys.

wrong typing. so it is only for the 6 potters only right. so this applies to the e36 325 & 328 and only after year 93'.

how about the the fuel? is it more cost effective or it burns more?

can share experience ah? u guys the sifus mah. asked around, some say good with VANOS some say not good with VANOS

need to get as much info as i can get. blood and sweat money mah!

i was reading the forums on the e36 328. kena the racun already! looks like there is only the 325 and 328 only on my list. Damn! now have to pay for high road tax.

Hey, 325i road tax not that high, only RM874 a year... If you divide that by 12, it's about RM73 a month only... so, set aside that amount every month and you will be okay. Oops, be sure to also set aside some $$$ for insurance too, unless you wanna get 3rd party only coverage.

I am also into 325 or 328 only after test drive a few.. Looking for one now also.. If I not taking the car tomorrow.. you should consider taking it as it is a nice 325 with vanos and condition is fair.. just the price is on a little high side.

Whats need to repair to bring it to Tip Top condition (estimate RM3000)
1.Cylinder head cover gasket to replace as leaks
2.Power steering pressure hose to replace
3.Brake system need full service
4.Oil sump gasket to replace as leaks
5.Flywheel oil seal to replace
6. Air cond belt and bearing to replace
7. Gear lever to refit
8. Torque converter oil seal to change

Why I dont buy:
1. Cash buy only (RM37K is quite expensive for me) Considering 1992 made
2. Non vanos engine... So higher fuel consum.. 13-18ltr per 100KM urban mix highway. Also power is about WAJA 1.8 feel - Prefer with vanos as tested one..feel 30% more power from 4000rpm to 6000rpm ...
3. Cant resell at RM30K after 2 years.. as I need to sell it when finish my contract here in KL. 1992 might fall below RM25K then. But if CKD 1994.. value will be RM30K for sure... if you jaga it well la. I think...
